Brokerage Firm CLSA suggest this stock to buy now for an upside potential of 50%

Avenue Supermarts Ltd, the company behind the popular DMart stores, is growing fast and showing strong signs of even bigger success ahead. Experts believe its stock could go up by 50% in the future. This belief comes from the company’s focus on opening more stores, selling more food items, growing its online shopping service (DMart Ready), and reaching more places across India.

India’s retail world is booming, with the market now worth over $1.2 trillion in 2025. This year, many big cities have seen a 69% rise in the use of retail space. Both physical stores and online shopping are growing quickly. In fact, online sales have reached around $60 billion in value. Avenue Supermarts is growing along with this market, with a current value of ₹2.78 lakh crore.

Brokerage CLSA Views

One well-known financial company, CLSA, has given a strong positive rating to Avenue Supermarts. They believe the stock can go up to ₹6,408 from ₹4,286, which is a 50% jump. CLSA also said that the company is expanding fast and focusing more on its own branded products, which can help it stay strong in the long run. Though there may be some ups and downs in profits for now, the future looks bright, especially with the company’s smart strategy for its online service.

Company’s Q1 Profit

In Q1 of the financial year 2026, the company earned ₹16,360 crore in revenue, a 16% rise from last year. But its net profit was almost the same, at ₹773 crore. Most of the company’s sales (about 58%) come from food, like groceries and packed items. Other products like cleaning items and clothes also do well.

The company now has 426 stores, with new ones coming up in places like Pathankot and Pune. Its store count has gone up from 55 in 2012 to over 400 in 2025. It continues to grow in big states like Maharashtra and Gujarat, and also in new areas like Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.

One of the biggest investors in the company, Mr. Radhakishan Damani, owns over 14.98 crore shares, showing strong trust in the company’s future.
